Development

Original Manda Koso is a multi-functional fermented product developed by Dr. Shingorou Matsuura, the founder of Manda Group.
Dr. Shigorou Matsuura was born in 1943, and he took deep interest in natural science by the question in his boyhood, "Why is milk white?".
After completing high school course, he obtained a job at the agricultural experiment station in Shizuoka. He learned breeding of plants there and started to make a study of it.
His spirit of inquiry drove himself to go on to Tokyo University of Agriculture. He aimed at the functions of enzymes from the result of his study on genetic inheritance in breeding of plants and started to make a study of fermentation there.
For family reasons, he had to leave the university at a third-year student. However, helping his family business, he kept making a study of fermentation after returning home.
As a result of studying, he completed the proto-type of Manda Koso in 1970.
In the year, he married, and he and his wife were bressed with their first son. Like a Jenner, he persuaded his wife to take the proto-type Manda Koso during her pregnancy.
He certainly believed that Manda Koso had no harm to her and their unborn first child since it had shown safety of Manda Koso in the results of various dosing tests to his farm animals and plants.
In 1984, he finally overcame lots of obstacles and succeeded to commercialize Manda Koso.
